Founding Group
The N. Tracy Walker Scholarship Fund was formed by a group of Illinois Freemasons in 1979. Originally money was raised by passing styrofoam cups around at lodge meetings to collect spare change. The “cup-method” was originally started by N. Tracy Walker and was very successful in starting and building the fund that we manage today.
Growth
Over the years, the fund grew and we expanded the support opportunities to include more advanced methods for donating to the fund. Several options are direct check submissions and leaving a gift to the fund in wills. We have worked hard to manage the fund responsibly and to grow it to its current level.
